The Red Sox went into Tampa Bay with a 6.5 game lead in the wild card race and were swept by the Rays cutting their lead in half.
Peter Abraham joined Toucher & Rich to talk about the struggles of the Sox, when injured players might return and Tim Wakefield still looking for his 200th win.
The guys look at the remaining games the Red Sox have and will they have a tough time making the playoffs?
Josh Beckett suffered an ankle injury last week, but is scheduled to throw off the mound and could be ready to go this weekend. The guys continue to discuss the rest of the injuries the Red Sox are dealing with.
Will they try and push Erik Bedard to come back if they keep dropping games? What’s the status of Kevin Youkilis?
They also went on to talk about Dustin Pedroia’s struggles at the plate. Will Terry Francona shuffle up the lineup to try and get production out of his guys?
All this and much more with Peter Abraham.
