Police Look For Witnesses In Deadly Swansea Crash

SWANSEA, Mass. (AP) -- State police say they're seeking witnesses to a single-vehicle rollover crash in Swansea that killed a Rhode Island man.

Police say Timothy Carrig of Bristol, R.I., was driving a pickup truck east on Route 195 when it veered off the right side of the road, then re-entered the highway and crossed all three lanes of traffic as it rolled over.

They say the 28-year-old Carrig was thrown out of the truck onto the highway and hit by several vehicles, only one of which remained behind. Carrig was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say speed appears to be a factor in the crash. They say any witnesses should call the Dartmouth state police barracks.
