Concord, N.H. Police Arrest Suspect In Market Holdup

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Police have arrested a Concord man accused of robbing a local market and injuring the clerk.

Police say 30-year-old Abraham Sanborn was arrested Friday at the Merrimack County Jail where he's being held on unrelated charges.

Authorities say he's accused of robbing the West Street Market on Aug. 29 and restraining and throwing the pregnant store clerk to the ground. The clerk suffered minor injuries.

Police say the suspect then took the clerk's purse and an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register.

Sanborn is expected to be arraigned on Monday.
