FRAMINGHAM (CBS) – The illegal alien uncle of President Barack Obama has been released from the Plymouth County House of Corrections, officials confirmed Friday.

Onyango Obama was arrested for drunk driving in August. Since that time, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had ordered him held in jail.

Obama came to the United States illegally from Kenya nearly 50 years ago. He was ordered to return to Africa in 1992 but never did.

WBZ-TV’s Lauren Leamanczyk reports

He was released Thursday but his whereabouts are unknown.

WBZ-TV went to the Framingham home Obama shares with other relatives. No one answered the door. Neighbors say they haven’t seen Obama since he was arrested.

Obama worked at Conti Liquors in Framingham. The owner of that store says Obama is a good worker and is welcome back, but said he had not heard from his employee since his release.

A spokeswoman for ICE says they have no comment on the case citing privacy. Officials at Plymouth County House of Corrections said the same.

Obama’s lawyers did not return calls for comment.

Why did it take so long? He has a future in Mass. Heard that Uncle Omar is in the running to be the next Registrar of Motor Vehicles. I’m sure that he is high on Deval’s list.

When he was arrested he said “I think I’ll call the White House”. It seems apparent that he used his one call in jail wisely. If it was anyone else, I’m sure they would still be rotting in jail…my two cents

Fed’s would not say why he was released, hey why the heck should any of us know, none of our business. . 5 or 6 time drunk drivers get to keep thier license so I’m guessing he will to..Oh and he may want to check his SS card that he has, maybe it’s time for him to retire on your dime!!! ICE states that they have no comment “due to privacy”. They have got to be joking since it was privacy that allowed him to be in the country illegally for 40 years. Since when do illegal aliens have a right to any privacy?

I can’t believe how arrogant uncle & auntie are! One more thing Obama should be ashamed of but isn’t, I’m sure. Kick them both out of the US. Neither one of them deserve to be here. Not sure how much money Uncle Omar earns but auntie has been sucking off our govenment for the past 20 years.
