Police ID Driver In Mass Pike Crash That Killed 6-Year-Old Girl

AUBURN, Mass. (CBS) -- State police have identified the driver involved in a crash that killed a six-year-old girl on Thursday on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Auburn.

Police say 25-year-old Lodia Rodriguez of Worcester was driving a minivan that rolled over around 1 p.m. on Thursday after colliding with a box truck.

The young victim was ejected from the minivan as it careened across all three lanes of traffic, struck the guard rail next to the median and rolled onto its roof in the middle lane.

Rodriguez and two 4-year-old girls in the van, were hospitalized with minor injuries.

State Police say they are looking into whether the girl who died was properly buckled into her seat.
