Boston Announces Plans For 9/11 Anniversary Ceremonies

BOSTON (CBS) – Mayor Menino has announced the city’s plans to honor the victims of the September 11th attacks on the tenth anniversary.

Ceremonies will begin with a wreath-laying at the 9/11 contemplative garden in the Boston Public Garden, along with a bell ringing and community service projects.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Kim Tunnicliffe reports

The names of the Massachusetts victims will be read on the steps of the State House.

206 victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks had ties to Massachusetts.
