N. H Woman Dies After Being Ejected From Car In Warren

WARREN, Mass. (AP) - Authorities are investigating a car crash in Massachusetts that killed a New Hampshire woman.

Investigators say 62-year-old Kathleen Meats of Portsmouth died in the accident that happened about 1:45 p.m. Friday on westbound Route 90 in Warren, Mass. They say the left rear tire had separated from her car, causing her to lose control. Troopers said the car struck a guardrail on the right side of the road, spun out and went down an embankment.

Investigators said Meats, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown out of the car. She was taken to Wing Hospital in Palmer, where she was pronounced dead. Her daughter, 24-year-old Kathleena Meats, was a passenger and suffered minor injuries.
