Capuano Not Running For Brown’s Senate Seat

BOSTON (CBS) – Congressman Michael Capuano announced Friday that he will not run for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Senator Scott Brown.

The Somerville Democrat said there’s already a field of good candidates, any of whom would serve Massachusetts well.

Capuano is planning to run for re-election to the House next year.

Here is the full text of his statement:

“After serious personal reflection, I have decided not to seek the United States Senate seat for Massachusetts at this time. There are several good candidates currently in the race and I am fully satisfied that any nominee from this group will represent Massachusetts effectively in the Senate. Thanks to everyone who has encouraged me to seek the Senate seat. I very much appreciate your support and your insight. I look forward to seeking re-election to the House in 2012.”

Sorry to hear that he won’t be running. Scott Brown would mop the floor with this moonbat liberal. The truth is he doesn’t have the b’s to run. This loudmouth is just trying to protect his arse and his Federal pension by running again for Congress.
