Offensive phrases and rude pictures were dug into the greens.

Course supervisor Stephen Murphy said the vandals pulled up sign posts used to direct cart traffic to carve up the course.

"The damage was mostly holes dug up by posts. Some of the holes were about eight inches deep," he told WBZ Newsradio 1030.

"We took care of it. We sodded it, we filled it, got it back in play in a couple of hours."

It took eight people to get the repairs done. Murphy said they had a similar incident a few weeks ago and he may know the suspects.

"Both times they used some words that I may have used back to them," he said.

If you have any information, please call Lynn Police at 781-595-2000.
