Boston Police Release Sketch Of North End Attack Suspect

BOSTON (CBS) – Boston Police have released a sketch of a man wanted for an assault in the North End early Saturday morning.

Investigators say a woman was attacked in the area of Garden Court and Fleet Street around 2:30 a.m.

She was on her way home when a man approached her, struck up a conversation and then tried to get into her building.

WBZ-TV's Christina Hager reports

Police describe the man they're searching for:

  • White Hispanic male
  • Gelled back hair
  • About 5'6"
  • 150 lbs (slim build)
  • Wearing a blue pinned striped shirt
  • Brown khaki pants

It is unclear whether this attack is related past incidents in the North End.

Investigators are encouraging anyone who may recognize him to please come forward. Anonymous information is also welcome.
