The Patriots are in Tampa Bay for their second preseason game. Jeff Howe from NESN spoke with Toucher & Rich about what we should expect out of tonight’s game.

How much time will the starters be on the field tonight?

“I’d like to think that the Patriots will get typical second game reps in terms of the preseason. Even though, a lot of the starters didn’t play last week. They probably need to get at least a full quarter and more likely a half at least to progress over the course of the next three weeks to get ready for the regular season opener,” were Howe’s thoughts.

They also discussed Albert Haynesworth, will we see him in tonight’s game? They also discussed how Tom Brady has looked in practice.

The Patriots kicked the tires on safeties earlier in camp bringing in Darren Sharper and Renaldo Hill for visits/workouts. No signings came out of the visits, so does that mean that Brandon Meriweather is safe?

The guys also discussed some of the bigger names on this Patriots team that might be on the bubble like Brandon Tate, Kevin Faulk, Sammy Morris, Ron Brace and Gerard Warren.
