Lancaster Grandmother Recovering After Attack

LANCASTER (CBS) - A Lancaster woman is still in the hospital after being attacked by an intruder in her home.

Gina Ross' husband found her bleeding from the head in their garage and now their her daughter Sonja is pleading for anyone who saw anything to come forward, "My family is forever changed so we just need your help, please. "

Police were called to 17 Paine Street just before 11AM Wednesday. Eric Ross had just found his sixty year old wife on the floor of their garage, semi-conscious and bleeding.

WBZ-TV's Diana Perez reports

He can be heard saying, "I need an ambulance, somebody attacked my wife, hurry up." on the 911 tape.

Gina had been hit several times by a stranger lurking in her garage. The only other person in the home was Sonja's 15 month old son, who was taking a nap.

She's in stable condition at UMass Memorial Medical Center.

Now Sonja wants to get the word out and is sending a message directly to the whoever attacked her mother, "The police are gonna get you where ever you go the police will get you you will be found.. I trust the police."

Still she acknowledges police cant do it alone, "if you heard something of know something of hear something down the road you have to call the police and tell as little and ridiculous as you think it may be the clue that catches the guy that did this to my mother."

Police interviewed Gina at the hospital and are gathering evidence at the families home. Unfortunately police don't have too many clues to go on because Gina didn't get a good look at her attacker.
