BEDFORD, N.H. (CBS/AP) – Texas Governor Rick Perry is in New Hampshire for the first time as a presidential candidate.

The front-runner in the Republican race, according to a new poll, launched a two-day campaign tour at a packed breakfast event with business leaders Wednesday in Bedford.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Mark Katic reports

He touted his job creation record in Texas, chided the president for poor fiscal policies and noted that he does not believe in global warming.

Perry also said he would not have signed the debt-ceiling compromise brokered by Republicans and Democrats, because it sent the wrong message by spending money the nation doesn’t have.

He did not take questions from reporters.

The latest Rasmussen Reports poll of likely Republican Primary voters taken Monday night has Perry leading Mitt Romney and Michelle Bachmann.
