CHELSEA (CBS) – About a dozen residents of the Chelsea Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation home were treated to a Red Sox game at Fenway Park on Wednesday.

The nursing home has a monthly Red Sox party in front of a big screen TV. Wednesday’s party was under a big blue sky.

Some of the folks hadn’t been at Fenway in decades.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Lana Jones spoke to the lucky fans:

Tickets for the game came courtesy of the family of Peter Chicarelli, a resident who recently passed away.

God bless the Chicarelli family, as well as their recently passed loved one in whose name the tickets were donated. In this way, he lives on and helped to brighten so many folks’ day. That was very generous of the family, and a real kindness that the attendees will remember happily always. :)
