Reading Shooting Ruled A Homicide

READING (CBS) – Authorities said that an autopsy revealed that Monday’s shooting at a Reading home was a homicide.

22-year-old Joseph Ronan was found shot multiple times in his parents’ home on Lawrence Road Monday afternoon.

There have been no arrests.

WBZ-TV’s Sera Congi reports

Ronan graduated from Reading High School and was preparing to join the Marines in four weeks, according to his father.

WBZ NewsRadio1030’s Mike Macklin reports

Paul Ronan told WBZ-TV his family is shocked by his son’s violent death and he doesn’t know who would have wanted to hurt him.

“It’s not an easy time for them,” Ronan’s uncle Rich Angelo told reporters Tuesday.

“He’ll be sorely missed by everyone that knew him.”

Neighbors say Ronan’s parents were not home at the time of the shooting, but his grandfather was there.

Police are looking for a suspect described as a white man in a dark-colored SUV or van.

He graduated from READING high school in 2007 – not REVERE.

Donna, I am confused by your comment. Had there been an error in the original reporting?

      1. Lori Bowen says:

In the original report they had said he graduated from Revere. They seem to have fixed it since then.

“22-year-old Joseph Ronan was found shot multiple times”

The police is ruling it a homicide
I could have been a cop

    Jokes and ironi aside.

Sad case and hope they find the person/persons responsible for this
