Roslindale Priest Placed On Leave After Sex Abuse Allegations

ROSLINDALE (CBS) – A local priest has been placed on administrative leave after he was accused of sexually abusing a child during the 1980’s.

The Archdiocese immediately notified authorities about Rev. John M. Mendicoa, a Parochial Vicar at Sacred Heart Parish in Roslindale.

“I recognize that news of this allegation may be a source of distress for many people,” said Cardinal Sean P. O’Malley in a statement. “My prayers and concern are with all people who are impacted by this matter. I remain committed to doing everything possible to protect our children, while at the same time furthering the healing process and rebuilding trust.”

Fr. Mendicoa will remain on leave until Archdiocese officials complete their preliminary investigation.

Yet another pedophile priest in the Catholic church. They should all be forced to take a lie detector test for the sake of saving future children.
