BOSTON (CBS) – Whenever a new restaurant opens in Boston, the Phantom Gourmet is there to check it out. Dan Andelman went to some of the city’s hottest eateries.

Brand new to the Back Bay, “Red Lantern” is a massively sexy space specializing in upscale Chinese food and creative sushi.

Specialties include the wok-fired lobster, teriyaki noodle steak, and the signature lobster rangoon’s, a personal favorite of Chef Kevin Long.

Also new to Boston, Five Napkin Burger at the Prudential Center is a casually stylish American bar and grill serving up gourmet tater tots, S’mores milkshakes with a toasted marshmallow top, and burgers so juicy, you’ll need plenty of napkins.

Some other new spots around town include Blue Inc. on the Greenway, and Vito’s Tavern, he first ever sports bar in the north end.
