Toucher & Rich: Kathryn Tappen Makes The Move To NHL Network

Kathryn Tappen started working for NESN back in 2006 and started covering the Boston Bruins the following year.

Tappen joined Toucher & Rich to discuss the move to a big national job. If someone approached her back in 2007 and told her that she would be working for the NHL Network would she have believed them?

It's easy to tell from the excitement in her voice that she's happy about this new job, but what will she miss about working locally?

"I joke about it all the time with friends and family just that how hockey has become so much a part of my life. Growing up it was always football and baseball and I loved covering the Patriots all these years and the Red Sox and that's certainly something I'm going to miss having to give that up to go full time hockey," Tappen said of her new opportunity.

They also discussed the rising interest in hockey and trying to continue this trend in the future. This and so much more with Kathryn Tappen.
