The Fresh Grocer: Classic Lasagna
BOSTON (CBS) – With this gorgeous weather, you may not think you want to spend much time in the kitchen.
The Fresh Grocer, Tony Tantillo, has a classic lasagna recipe that might make you reconsider.
General Instructions for Lasagna A La Mama
Start with a layer of homemade pasta on the bottom of a baking dish. Then, add your tomato sauce.
Then, add a layer of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. At that point, build your next layer with some more pasta, then sauce, then more cheese. It’s important to make the layers uniform and even to ensure the consistent taste all the way through.
Tony prefers three layers in his lasagna, but you can add as many as you think you need. He thinks that four layers, though, can get messy.
Cook your lasagna in the oven for about 30 minutes at 180-200 degrees. Then you’re done!
