What do the 'target' signs on the Tobin Bridge mean? - Cindy, Quincy
Maybe you've seen them on the side of the Tobin....bullseye signs.
Well those signs mark where fire hydrant standpipes are on the bridge.
Mass Highway tells us the signs make it very easy for firefighters to find a hydrant, so if there's an emergency on the bridge they can find a water supply...fast.
