4 Boys Accused Of Throwing Rocks At Cars In Worcester

HOLDEN (CBS) - Four boys between 9 and 11 years old are accused of throwing dozens of rocks at several vehicles on Route 290 in Worcester over the weekend.

State police said the boys threw the rocks at cars on the Kelly Square on-ramp to Route 290 eastbound Saturday.

One of the victims, with the help of Worcester police, chased down the kids, who later admitted to investigators they threw the rocks.

WBZ-TV's Diana Perez reports

Several drivers remained on the scene to report the damage, which ranged from smashed windshields to dents on the hoods, roofs, and sides of the vehicles.

In all, 12 vehicles were damaged, according to police.

Troopers found about 70 rocks, some as big as softballs, that had been thrown at the cars.
