McAdam: Buchholz Out For Season With Stress Fracture In Back
BOSTON (CBS) - 98.5 The Sports Hub's Sean McAdam is reporting that Clay Buchholz will miss the rest of the regular season due to a stress fracture in his lower back.
A return in the postseason hasn't been entirely ruled out.
Buchholz has missed six weeks after being placed on the disabled list on June 17 with a lower back strain.
Buchholz is scheduled to meet with back specialist Dr. Thomas Watkins in Los Angeles Monday.
