Bodybuilding Firefighter's Fraud Trial Begins
BOSTON (CBS) -- A former firefighter who claimed he was disabled, then competed in bodybuilding contests—is going on trial.
Albert Arroyo was charged with mail fraud after he was caught participating in a bodybuilding contest two months after he claimed he was permanently disabled.
Arroyo said he became disabled after injuring his back in a fall at the fire station.
Arroyo's lawyer claimed that bodybuilding was therapy for his back injury.
Jury selection in the trial began Monday.
