MARSHFIELD (AP) — Authorities have confirmed that the body found off the coast of Marshfield over the weekend was that of a man who fell off a boat last month.

Police said Sunday that the medical examiner has confirmed that the submerged body found by a diver on Saturday was 23-year-old Steven “Zac” Woods.

Woods has been missing since July 16 when he fell off a boat in the waters off the Brant Rock section of Marshfield.

Woods’ friend and the operator of the vessel at the time, Justin McDonald, has pleaded not guilty to charges he was drunk while operating the boat.

He’s been released on $10,000 bail.

Authorities say the investigation continues.
