Franklin 12-Year-Old Charged With Stabbing Younger Brother With Kitchen Knife

FRANKLIN, Mass. (AP) — A 12-year-old boy has been charged with stabbing his 9-year-old brother with a kitchen knife in the family’s Franklin home.

Police told the Milford Daily News the younger boy was taken to a hospital by his mother after being stabbed several times on Sunday. His condition was not known.

The older boy was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery, assault to maim and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Deputy Chief Stephen Semerjian said the boy was arraigned on Monday and remains in custody.

Police said they did not know what prompted the stabbing.

    So young, so violent, how sad it is to hear of this. I wonder if much will come out to the why’s. Hope the younger brother heals fast….Can only image how fearfull he feels…..

    I hope the victim heals quickly. I hope the perpetrator gets the punishment due to him. This poor Mother; How must she feel about her two boys now? I do not envy her position. It seems to me that there would be some kind of choice now as to wether or not the older son will still live with them. Such a sad state of affairs for this family. They are in my thoughts & prayers.
