SAUGUS (CBS) – Repair work continued on Route 1 in Saugus on Sunday, one day after a deadly fuel tanker crash.
The left lanes of Route 1 in Saugus, both southbound and northbound, were finally reopened on Sunday at around 4 p.m. Crews were working to repair the road deck, guardrail and median near Essex Street.
All lanes on both sides of the roadway are now open.
A tanker truck driver was killed and four other people were injured in the crash early Saturday morning.
