Based on Theo Epstein’s recent comments, Gresh and McAdam discussed the possibility of the Red Sox extending Jacoby Ellsbury’s contract. Given Ellsbury’s agent is the infamous Scott Boras, do the Sox stand any chance of extending Ellsbury prior to when he hits free agency? If not, should Epstein explore the possibility of dealing the 27-year-old outfielder at his potential maximum value?
