PLYMOUTH (CBS) – The heat was really on at Jordan Hospital Thursday.
The air conditioning unit in the hospital’s emergency room and operating suites shut down Thursday morning because of a mechanical problem. A second large air conditioning unit also malfunctioned.
The hospital said Thursday evening crews were still working on fixing the issue and in the meantime, a large portable unit was being brought in.
No one had to be evacuated. The staff was accepting patients, but any major trauma cases were being diverted to South Shore Hospital.
