Plus, with a .225 batting average and just 25 RBI in 75 games this season, is it time for Terry Francona and Theo Epstein to push JD Drew to the bench?

He is an old man , and like my grandfather he needs a nap every now and then. Sit him down before he gets hurt. September is coming fast.

I think what bothers me about his lack of performance, is that he’s retiring @ the end of the season & u would think, he’d want to go out on a high note; like lowell did.. I still think he’s a valueable player, i’m just not sure how long he can continue to under achieve.. I’m wondering if he’s checked out.. i.e lost the desire to play.. Unless there are some lingering injuries, or outside deterences, he can still have an impact on the game..

I never knew why they paid so much for him in the first place. He wasn’t impressive before he came here, and is less than impressive now. He never seems into it, maybe his confidence is down, maybe he’s just collecting a paycheck, either way the Red Sox won’t miss him.
