Lightning Strikes Reported Across Cape Cod; 1 Injured

WAREHAM (CBS) - Lightning strikes were reported across the Cape as a severe thunderstorm rolled through on Monday.

Police in Wareham reported a lightning strike on Narrows Road. A 67-year-old man was indirectly struck by lightning that apparently traveled through the ground.

WBZ-TV's Jim Smith reports

He was conscious and alert, but was transported to the hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.

Also in Wareham, a 35 foot tree crashed through the roof of an unoccupied home on Agawam Drive and a large tree limb crashed through the windshield of a car for sale at a used car dealership.

Meanwhile in Bourne, fire officials said several homes were hit by lightning. No injuries were reported there.
