Gresh & Zo: Should The Sox Go After Reyes?

As the trade deadline approaches Zo and Flynn discussed what the Red Sox need to go out and get. Some people are concerned with the injuries to the pitching staff, but the guys agree that what the Sox really need is an impact player.

Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe wrote over the weekend the Sox should go out and acquire Mets shortstop Jose Reyes.

Should they give up the farm to bring Reyes to Boston? Who are some of the guys that the Sox would be able to package up?

"(Jose) Iglesias probably is going to be a guy that you'd have to throw in there, that wouldn't really bother me. I know he's suppose to be the guy of the future, but down in Triple A he's been great defensively but he hasn't really knocked the cover off the ball. So that's still going to be an issue, maybe you throw Josh Reddick in there. They got rid of a lot of guys getting Gonzalez, kind of depleted some of their top prospects," said Flynn.

The guys also discussed if the Sox put together a package and get Reyes, where does he fit into the lineup?

If he's just going to be a free agent at the end of the season do you just wait and try to get sing home in the offseason?

What do you think, should the Red Sox try and acquire Jose Reyes? What would you give up for the All-Star Shorstop?
