HYANNIS -- The Kennedy compound was buzzing with activity on Friday.

Former Rhode Island Congressman Patrick Kennedy married Amy Petitgout, a teacher from New Jersey, at the compound in Hyannis Port.

"I'm very excited," he said.  "Not only is the weather clear, but everyone is down, so I'm surrounded by family," said Kennedy.

The wedding was officiated by Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer.

Kennedy and Petigout are registered at Bloomingdale's for linens and small appliances, and at Williams-Sonoma for cookware.
