BOSTON (CBS/AP) — The National Transportation Safety Board has joined the investigation into an accident between two jets at Boston’s Logan International Airport.

The accident occurred Thursday night when the wing of a large moving passenger jet clipped the tail of a smaller stationary jet on a taxiway.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Kim Tunnicliffe reports

Both planes were taken out of service. One person was treated at a hospital for a neck injury.

An agency spokesman said Friday the NTSB gets involved when an “incident” is upgraded to an “accident” because of either a loss of life or severe property damage.

The NTSB and the Federal Aviation Administration will work in conjunction.

Concerning the video clip: A Boeing 787? Does Delta even know that they have one? Admittedly later in the clip, Alana Gomez does identify the plane as a 767. I guess they are only numbers (unless you are waiting for one to be delivered).

Another “talking head” just opening his mouth and blathering on without thinking about what he is saying. And they get paid for this type of performance; sign me up.I’ll give it a go.

This did not happen on a RUNWAY it occurred on a TAXIWAY! Typical media reporting of an aviation event, absolutely totally clueless! At least do some kind of research before you open your mouth.
