Police Arrest Man Wanted In Sexual Assault On Lowell Riverwalk

LOWELL (CBS) – Police arrested a man on Wednesday in connection with a sexual assault in Lowell last week.

Officers arrested 21-year-old Andrew Burke near Harvard Square in Cambridge without incident at around 3 p.m.

Police said Burke grabbed a 26-year-old woman from behind on the Lowell Riverwalk last Friday morning.

Burke will likely be arraigned on Thursday. He faces charges including attempted murder by strangulation and assault with intent to rape.
