Lowell Police Obtain Arrest Warrant For Suspect In Sex Assault On Jogger

LOWELL (CBS) - Lowell police are searching for a 21-year-old man who they say sexually assaulted and tried to kill a woman on the city's Riverwalk on Friday.

Police have obtained an arrest warrant charging Andrew Burke with a host of charges including attempted murder, assault with intent to rape and kidnapping.

Burke, who is reportedly a registered sex offender, allegedly attacked the woman, who had been jogging along the Riverwalk.

Lowell police are asking anyone who knows Burke's whereabouts to contact them.
