The Travels Of A Boston Middle Schooler's Lost Wallet
BOSTON (CBS) - Several weeks after losing his wallet, a soon-to-be 7th grader in Boston is getting it back; along with quite a story and some extra cash to go with it.
Wade-Noah Blair was involved in a car accident at the beginning of summer. His family got a rental car and when it came time to return the car, Blair accidentally left his wallet behind.
From there, the car and wallet wound up in Philadelphia where a pilot found it.
The pilot hung onto the wallet for a little while, taking photos to document its travels.
The wallet made its way to the Statue of Liberty, hung out in a helicopter, and soared to 40,000 feet in the cockpit of an airliner.
The wallet contained Blair's student ID for Boston Collegiate Charter School in Dorchester.
And this week, the pilot contacted the school and shipped the wallet home.
He included a note, the photos and a $100 bill, which he told Blair to put toward college.
