BOSTON (CBS) – Customs officers in Boston have seized a huge shipment of counterfeit items worth close to $90,000.

The items in question were 183 lunch-boxes and nearly 3,000 CDs, all bearing the “Dr. Doom” logo.

Customs and Border Protection questioned the importer last month after noticing that all of the items contained images trademarked by Marvel Entertainment.

In response, the importer submitted a Notice of Abandonment.

The government immediately seized all of the lunch-boxes and CDs.

It’s unclear what country they had been shipped from.
