Boston Police Announce Arrest In 2004 Julaine Jules Murder Case

BOSTON (CBS) - Nearly seven years after a Malden woman's body was found wrapped in plastic and dumped in the Charles River, Boston police have made an arrest.

Thirty-two-year-old Shabazz Augustine of Dorchester is being charged with murdering Julaine Jules.

Assistant District Attorney Mark Lee said it was clear "that Mr. Augustine had a significant romantic interest in Ms. Jules, and that his conduct was driven by his romantic interest."

Lee added that the weekend prior to her disappearance, Jules had spent the weekend with another man, and Augustine became aware of that, according to a press release from the Suffolk County DA's office.

Jules was an employee at the Children's Museum in Boston when she disappeared August 24, 2004. That night, her car was found burning in a Revere parking lot. Her body was discovered in the Charles River nearly a month later.
