Menino Moves To Ban Motorbikes After Confusion Over Park Shooting
BOSTON (CBS) - Mayor Menino is moving to ban motorbikes in Boston.
Neighbors say they've been complaining for a while that gang activity and motorized bike riders have made Harambee Park unsafe for families.
The shooting of a 4-year-old boy this week brought those complaints to the attention of city officials.

Initially police had said the suspects took off on motorized bikes. Late Tuesday, Police Commissioner Ed Davis said that wasn't' the case. Police now say motorbikes in the park led to an even more chaotic situation.
The mayor is acknowledging that there is a problem with motorized bikes in the parks. He said police will begin enforcing the ban on vehicles in city parks.
The mayor plans to ask lawmakers to prohibit them outright in Boston.
