Boston Police Report Credible Sighting In South End Of Missing JP Mom

BOSTON (CBS) - Boston police reported on Wednesday that there was a credible sighting of missing mom Amber DeVoe in the South End area of Boston the day before.

They did not offer any further details, but are asking Amber to please contact her family as they are very concerned about her.

Devoe has not been seen for more than a week.

Her friends and family are doing what they can to find the young mother, printing and posting fliers all over Jamaica Plain, Roslindale, West Roxbury and the South End.

Devoe's mother arrived in Boston on Wednesday. She spent much of the morning meeting with Boston police detectives.

The 28-year-old Devoe had not been seen for several days before she was reported missing on Sunday. That was the day she didn't show up for a softball game and her friends began to worry.

Her workplace did not get suspicious because she usually works in field and may not contact the office for days.

Amber just moved here from Michigan four months ago and her family and friends say it's unlike her to just disappear.
