Templeton Resident Captures Photos Of Moose In Her Yard
TEMPLETON (CBS) - Residents in Templeton had a close encounter with a moose this morning.
Beth Moschetti woke up and found this cow moose hanging around in her yard.
Moschetti says the animal was following around her cat. It wandered up near the porch and spent part of the morning lying around the yard.
Moschetti says she's not sure what happened to the moose because eventually, she had to go to work.
The state's moose population virtually disappeared in the 1800s. However, it has seen a strong rebound in the past four decades.
MassWildlife biologists estimate there are now around a thousand moose that live in Massachusetts.
The majority of them are found in northern Worcester County.
