Celtics Rondo Not Yet 100 Percent

BOSTON (CBS) - Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo is still recovering from the dislocated elbow he suffered in Game 3 against the Miami Heat, and is about a month away from being completely healthy.

"He's not 100 percent," said President of Basketball Ops Danny Ainge. "He's probably about four weeks away from playing basketball at full speed. All he can do is training and conditioning right now."

Rondo was running on a treadmill at the Celtics training facilities in Waltham as Ainge and coach Doc Rivers addressed the media about Thursday night's upcoming NBA Draft. He dislocated his elbow after being taken down by Dwayne Wade, but played out the series despite the pain with a heavy wrap around his arm.

"Rondo's a tough kid," he continued. "I think any of our players would have been out there playing though. In that situation, you don't get the opportunity to play in big series like that. Rajon was in a lot of pain and was able to give us a good effort."

"I don't think players get enough credit for that," said coach Doc Rivers. "Rondo what he did was amazing, and I agree with Danny, I think everyone on our team would have been playing. I can't speak for other teams, but I think we have that type of group. They wanted to win and they know you can't take any year for granted. They wanted this to be that year, and that didn't happen, but it still says a lot about that guy that he went out and played."
