TAUNTON (AP) – Police in the southeastern Massachusetts city of Taunton say one person has died in a fire.

The female victim’s name was not immediately released, but police say she was found in the School Street structure shortly after firefighters knocked down the flames Saturday night.

Authorities say she was found in a second-floor apartment in the building.

The fire remained under investigation Sunday, and no other injuries were reported.
