Gresh & Zo: Patrice Bergeron 'It's Something Very Special'

BOSTON (CBS) - Even though Patrice Bergeron was in New York City with Zdeno Chara, Tim Thomas and the Stanley Cup he still made time to talk with Gresh & Zo.

They started off by talking about the plane ride back to Boston from Vancouver after winning the Cup. What about the plane ride out to Vancouver with Game 7 ahead of them?

What did Claude Julien say to the team before Game 7 in that locker room?

It was said that Shawn Thornton and Mark Recchi brought in their rings and talked about their Stanley Cup experiences. What did it mean to this team and how did it move him as a player before the big game?

Other than raising the Cup what was his favorite moment of this playoff run?

"It's tough to say. I think coming back from the Montreal series that was a key moment, we showed some character. From that moment on I knew we had a special team, a special group. I think the biggest thing was we wanted to win it for each other," Bergeron said.

The guys also asked Bergeron about the intermission between the 2nd and 3rd period when they were up 3-0. What were the discussions in the locker room at that point?

How did he feel scoring two goals in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final?

"It's something very special, something that I'll never forget," Bergeron answered back.

They also asked him about his moment with the Cup with his family after the game. Who was there and how did he share that moment with them?

After the big win Mark Recchi announced his retirement. Bergeron and Recchi have a close relationship; did they get to have their moment together and what was it like?

"The first time I hoisted the Cup it was actually from the hands of Mark Recchi. It was one thing to have a chance to lift that Cup, but to get it from Recs was amazing," he had to say of his teammate.

They also talked about his plan for his day with the Cup and his scream on the ice when he lifted it for the first time.
