BROCKTON (CBS) – A teen faces a murder charge in the fatal shooting of a woman in Brockton on Saturday afternoon.

Frank Webb, 19, is in custody and will appear in court on Monday.

The Plymouth County district attorney said police discovered the victim, 50-year-old Jennifer Rodrigues Teixeira, shot in the back at the intersection of Main and Court Streets.

She was taken to Brockton Hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

The DA said Webb fired a weapon in the direction of the victim before fleeing the scene and disposing of the gun.

Police later recovered a 45-caliber handgun.
