WALTHAM (CBS) – Officials are investigating the death of a Waltham man who apparently drowned while fishing in Rockport.

The Essex DA’s office believes 20-year-old Julio Concepcion of Waltham either fell or was swept into the water by a wave while he was fishing with friends at Segal Point in Rockport.

Officials said Concepcion’s friends noticed he was missing and called police.

The current brought Concepcion’s body to shore.

Concepcion, who did not have a life jacket on, was rushed to a hospital in Beverly, where he was pronounced dead.

The DA’s office said an autopsy will be conducted, but foul play is not suspected.
