Red Sox Recall Reliever Bowden, Option Catcher Exposito
BOSTON (CBS) - The Boston Red Sox recalled right-handed pitcher Michael Bowden from Triple-A Pawtucket on Friday.
To make room for the reliever, catcher Luis Exposito was optioned to Pawtucket following last night's game. Bowden will be active for tonight's game against the Blue Jays in Toronto.

This is Bowden's third stint in the Majors this season. In 20 games for the PawSox this year, the 24-year-old is 2-2 with five saves, a 3.86 ERA and 34 strikeouts.

Bowden has appeared in 24 games over four years in the Majors, compiling a 2-2 record with a 6.34 ERA and 29 strikeouts.
