CAMBRIDGE (CBS) – Lenny Clarke, the Cambridge born actor and comedian, is best known for his role on the hit show Rescue Me, but it’s his career as a Boy Scout that was highlighted this week.
In Cambridge on Friday, Clarke, who now lives on Martha’s Vineyard, was honored with the Good Scout award for his impact on area youth through community leadership and service.
WBZ Radio’s Suzanne Sausville spoke with Clarke about his history with the Boy Scouts of America.
Clarke says his time in the scouts taught him a lot about life.
It taught you to help people out without looking for something. I know it’s ‘be prepared.’ You know, think about it, it’s put others first ahead of yourself. That’s something I take very seriously,” Clarke said of the Boy Scouts.
