BOSTON (CBS) – A man being chased by Boston police was shot during a struggle Thursday night.
BPD says an officer chased the man to the intersection of Newcombe and Washington Streets.
As the officer tried to arrest the man, the officer’s gun fired. It’s unclear right now who pulled the trigger or why that man was being chased.
“During the struggle a weapon was discharged and the person that was being pursued was struck by the discharge,” said Deputy Supt. Kevin Buckley.
The officer and suspect, neither of whom was identified, were both taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
