MEMA To Help Coordinate Tornado Donation And Volunteer Efforts
FRAMINGHAM (CBS) – With countless donations headed to tornado-ravaged areas in Massachusetts, the United Way of Tri-County and the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s National Donation Management System are now helping coordinate the relief effort.
MEMA announced the two agencies will offer guidance to individuals and organizations looking to donate or volunteer in the aftermath of the June 1 tornado.

“Ironically, donated goods and volunteers that are not specifically needed in a disaster area can hurt more than help,” said MEMA Director Kurt Schwartz.
