MEMA announced the two agencies will offer guidance to individuals and organizations looking to donate or volunteer in the aftermath of the June 1 tornado.

“Ironically, donated goods and volunteers that are not specifically needed in a disaster area can hurt more than help,” said MEMA Director Kurt Schwartz.

Those wishing to donate money to the victims can contribute to the Massachusetts Statewide Disaster Relief Fund.
